Uwe Kolbe

Uwe Kolbe was born in East-Berlin. His first texts were published in 1976 in the literarary magazine Sinn und Form. After his publication ban in the 1980s, he worked for various underground magazines and moved to Hamburg in 1987. Two years later he took up a position as guest lecturer at Austin University in Texas. From 1997 until 2003 Uwe Kolbe worked at the Tübingen University. He currently lives as a freelance author in Berlin. His most recent publications include the anthology "Heimliche Feste" (2008) as well as prose and essays in "Vinetas Archive. Annäherungen an Gründe" (2011).
